Knitting as Self-Care...
Ending: 4th Feb, 2023
Time: 4:15 PM - 7:00 PM
It’s a stressful time to be alive, and we all need to find ways to protect our peace. In this class, we’ll focus on knitting as a tool for improving your well-being. We’ll walk through choosing a project you’ll enjoy, the process of selecting yarn, and working for the joy of making something. You will learn grounding techniques, have a quiet few hours to relax with other knitters, and practice carving out time for yourself in the midst of chaos. Think of this class as a one-night Knit-Along with a focus on mental health: group therapy with yarn.
Project: Bring a pattern that gives you joy, or come with needles, yarn, and an open mind. There will be an opportunity to purchase supplies, should you wish.
Instructor: Cheryl - please note that Cheryl is not a mental health professional but a knitter with an interest in self-care. It is not her intention to offer therapy but to encourage self-care.
